I sin, you sin, we all sin—that is what makes us human. Right? Do you ever feel like maybe we should just loosen up about sin? Maybe a little more liberty and license would make for some more enjoyable living? Maybe if we stopped being so concerned about sinning and started just living and enjoying the life God has blessed us with, we would truly find happiness?

Stop, ponder, and reflect on the above proposition. Does it sound appealing? Does it reflect your thoughts or much of the spiritual talk of our day? 

The above views are not new but were the “latest” deep insights of the later part of the first century (around 90 AD). They also represent the predominant view of our day, even among many who identify as Christians. Is sin really that serious? This Sunday, we will explore “the Truth about Sin.”
