How it all started...
David and Janet Anglin met through a campus ministry at East Tennessee State University, while David was finishing his Bachelors. Married in 1997, they moved to Olive Branch, MS to pursue their Master's Degrees at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. David served as the College and 20somethings Pastor at Longview Heights Baptist Church, in Olive Branch. While serving at LHBC over the next 11 years, God was stirring David's heart for church planting and shaping the core values that would be foundational to CrossLife Church.
In 2011, the Anglin's returned to Johnson City, TN to live as missionaries and birth a new church. CrossLife began preview services in January 2012, at Which Wich Sandwich Shop in Johnson City, TN. We began our weekly worship gathering at Real to Reel Movie Theater, March 2012.

Expanding the vision...
The region of Northeast Tennessee has many churches, yet over 80% of Washington County is not actively involved in any of them. One could say the area is over churched but under Gospeled. As society rapidly becomes more post-Christian and secularized, there is an urgent need for fresh expressions of the Gospel. The need for a Gospel-centered, family equipping, missional church with a passion for making disciples with a Biblical worldview, has never been greater.
Where we are headed...
In 2015, the CrossLife Church family has gathered at our current home at 4 Wesley Court, less than a mile from where we began. In March 2022, we celebrated 10 years of faithful ministry as God continues to transform individuals and families into Gospel-centered disciple-makers who are Following Jesus, Being Changed by Jesus, and on Mission with Jesus.
