Leadership

David was born and raised in Miami, FL until moving to Kingsport, TN for high school.  He graduated from ETSU in 1996 and went on to get his Master of Divinity degree in 2001 from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. David served as the College and 20-Somethings Pastor from 2000 to 2011 at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Those years were spent discipling, teaching, and equipping 20-somethings to live their lives fully surrendered to the mission of Jesus. While serving at LHBC, God was birthing the core values and mission of a new church. In 2011, David, Janet and their 4 kids (now 5) moved to Johnson City to plant a Gospel-centered, family-equipping church called CrossLife.

Growing up in East Tennessee, Richard worked in nursing at the VA Hospital here is Johnson City. Richard has two grown sons and a new grandson. He has served as a Family Pastor, Church Planter, and Lead Pastor. Richard serves at CrossLife on our Elder/Leadership Team, co-leading a LifeGroup, and overseeing our Life Groups and discipleship ministries.

Randy was raised in Gallatin, Tennessee, and has been involved in church ministry for most of his adult life, as a deacon, Christian school teacher, minister of music and youth, and pastor/elder. He and Beth were married in 1990, and they have four children: Alex, Charis, Kendal and Camden. He enjoys walking, biking, reading and teaching.

Originally from Wisconsin, Jonah moved to Johnson City with his family when he was 5. Jonah graduated from Science Hill High School and has studied at East Tennessee State University. He is a manager at Ross's in Johnson City and has served and led in the worship ministry at CrossLife Church since 2018. 

Mike grew up in Akron, Ohio until relocating to East Tennessee region with his wife Rhonda and their son Mykal. Mike and Rhonda are the owners of Modular Designs in Gray. He has served churches in the areas of Youth Ministry, Christian Education, Chaplaincy, and preaching for churches throughout our region. Mike serves as a Life Group Leader and provides leadership in various stewardship areas here at CrossLife.

Pate Anglin is a Senior at East Tennessee State University, studying finance. He has served CrossLife in administrative roles for several years and has now transitioned to serving the youth and their families.

Meridith is a Junior at East Tennessee State University, studying biochemistry.  She enjoys pop A cappella and book binding.  Meridith has attended CrossLife since 2022, serving on the worship team with her sisters. Now, she serves as an administrative assistant.
