What We Value

GOD over Self

Love God with all your heart, soul, and strength.
The Sufficiency of Scripture
The Bible is the final authority and foundation for our lives; therefore we are committed to the preaching, teaching, and promotion of a Biblical Worldview (1 Corinthians 1:21; 2 Timothy 4:2)

Worship
We seek to passionately and authentically commune with Jesus in our Gatherings through song, teaching, preaching of the Word and daily through lives surrendered as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to the Lord. Musically, the Bible is silent regarding style, but it is clear regarding the heart, "in spirit and in truth." In the Bible we find songs with a variety of forms such as personal, educational, historical, simple, theologically weighty, lament, confession, ancient and new (John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 5:18-20; Philippians 2:9-11; Colossians 3:16).

Regenerate Church Membership
Our goal is not to grow artificially, but organically. Our mission is not to get as many people to "walk the aisle" as possible. We desire to see true conversions. We constantly proclaim an explain the gospel and take our time with people struggling to understand what it means to follow Christ. (Romans 2:23, 5:8, 10:9-14; Ephesians 2:1-10; Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 6:46; 2 Corinthians 13:5). We are especially careful to avoid manipulating and rushing children to make decisions prematurely (Mathew 18:6; Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2).

Gospel Centered
The Gospel is the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is not just the means of salvation, but the key to our growth as Christians. Legalism and moralism are perversions of the Gospel as much as liberty and license The Gospel is the foundation for how we are saved, why we serve, why we give, and how we should live (Romans 1:16, 16:25, Galatians 1:6).

Systematic Expository Preaching
We believe the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture should be the foundation of preaching and teaching. Therefore textually driven, doctrinal, theological preaching and teaching will be the center of Weekly Worship Gatherings. The goal is to proclaim the "whole council of God" rather than pet doctrines and man-centered, needs based teaching (1 Corinthians 1:21; 2 Timothy 4:2; 2 Timothy 3:16).

People over Things

Love your neighbor as yourself
Biblical Community
Our goal is to facilitate the transformation of individuals and families into living Christ-centered missional lives.  This is accomplished through small groups with an emphasis on application of Sunday Teaching, accountability, and the “doing of life” together in community for the greater community. Biblical Community is demonstrated through active membership participation and small group involvement (Matthew 18:15-18; Romans 12:3-18; Acts 2:41-47, 4:32-35, 6:1-7; Hebrews 13:17)

Family Equipping Ministry
The first and most significant institution God established was the home.  The primary job of the church is not to nurture, evangelize, and disciple children and youth but parents.  And the single greatest determinant of a child’s faith is the dad. We seek to equip dads to be the spiritual leaders of the home.  We elevate the nobility of motherhood. We seek to assist single parents in establishing Christ centered homes in their unique challenges (Deuteronomy 6:8; Psalms 78).

Multi Generational Vision
We seek to draw generations together, breaking down the barriers that separate.  We value the role of older believers as they invest in younger believers and the benefits of multi-generational fellowship (Titus 2-3; Deuteronomy 6:8; Psalms 78).

Simple and Strategic
The goal is to maintain focus, purpose, and excellence in any and all church programming, enabling the church to live out Christ-centered lives in their families and the community.  Constant 24-7 church programming that works against families, pulls the church out of the community, and is maintained with mediocrity will be avoided.

Eternity over Time

Make disciples of all nations
Living Missionally
This is accomplished both by living, demonstrating, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the body of believers, across the street, and around the world.  Also, by fighting against consumerism as a Church in which the Church exists to please the desires of attenders.  Instead we will push to keep making disciples of others as more important than personal comforts and desires. (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Tim 2:2).

Generosity
We seek to sacrificially leverage our time, money, and resources to invest in that which is eternal, as patterned in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as “he became poor so that we might become rich.”

Multiplying Disciples
To Glorify God through the multiplication of disciples, Christ centered families, and churches in all nations.  Bill Hull said, “Our churches are not making disciples, but this is not the greatest concern.  The biggest concern is that we think we are.”  When 80% of “Christian” youth drop out of church after graduating high school, there is a problem.  We seek to intentionally move believers from spiritual infants to children, children to young adults, young adults to spiritual parents multiplying themselves.
