Walking in Love and Truth

I have heard people say, many times over the years, that we are living in dark times. This is not a new sentiment, nor is it necessarily untrue. However, the greatest hope and help for navigating dark times is light. When we are flooded with fake news, false information, and confusing news cycles, we need to find a path through the confusion.  

In the letter known as 1 John, John, the son of Zebedee, writes a letter that is all about the contrasting effects of light and darkness. After writing the Gospel of John and preaching about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, false teaching about Jesus was also beginning to arise. John wrote this letter to enlighten the church as to who Jesus really was and how to discern those who were really Christians.
