Only 2 Ways to Live

Knowingly or unknowingly, everyone has a life philosophy they live by. It may be based on one clear idea or a patchwork of several strung together. Consider some of the many examples of life philosophies people draw from today: “to each, his own;” “different strokes for different folks;” "God helps those who help themselves;” “do what makes you happy;” “carpe diem- seize the moment;” “live for the moment;” “do good-good karma, do bad-bad karma;” and “Look out for number one.”

These perspectives on life shade the way we think and inform the way we live. A deeper question we could consider is the connection or disconnect between what we say we believe and what we actually do.

In Galatians 3:7-18, Paul simplifies the many philosophies for living down to two. There are two ways a person can live. One is the way of Abraham and all the others can be lumped together as different versions of the same. What is your life philosophy?
