The Identity Crisis Facing the Church

Jan 13, 2019    Pastor David Anglin    Bold, Acts 1:1-3, Series in Acts

We can all agree on this: the world is messed up, culture is rapidly changing, being a Christian today is increasingly unpopular, and churches are struggling to find there way. Those who still call themselves Christians--and the churches some of them still attend--are facing an identity crisis.

There was a follower of Jesus named Luke who thought it important to record an orderly record of Jesus's life and the first years of the church. Writing to a friend he said this, "It seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught. "(Luke 1:3-4)

In this Message we will jump into this "orderly account" known as the book of Acts. In this letter we will be able to "Rediscover and Recover the Message & Mission of the Church."
