The Value of Sharing

May 27, 2018    Pastor David Anglin    Philippians 4:14-22, Giving, Stewardship

Through social media the world has changed to where we can maintain a connection to more friends than ever. We are also able to share simple ideas, thoughts, or pictures with all of our friends who are no doubt awaiting our every "notification." The end result is that true friendship and sharing has not increased but has actually lost its value.

The Kingdom of God is not a place of shallow friendships and superficial sharing. In Philippians 4:14-22, Paul gives an eternal vision of the economy of God's Kingdom. There is a place of unshakable Joy, authentic friendships, and eternal rewards. The infinite void we become aware of, as we seek satisfaction and contentment in this world, points to the only Infinite One who can satisfy and complete us.
