Walking in Love and Truth

Nov 2, 2025    Caleb Payne

Why is it so difficult to consistently "walk the walk," day after day? Like our first parents, Adam and Eve, our flesh, the world, and the Devil tempt us to cut our own path, to question the truth of our faith, or even to abandon the true gospel for another. If we abandon the truth of the Word, then we leave the realm of safety for a Christian.

On the other hand, as Christians, we are called to abide in Christ. But what does that mean? How do we abide in Christ? What does that look like day to day?

In his second letter, John writes to the church to teach them what it means to abide in Christ, and he breaks it down to a really simple formula. He tells the church that to abide in Christ, Christians must love one another and hold fast to the truth.
