Unpacking Unnecessary Baggage

Jan 14, 2018    Pastor David Anglin    Genesis 12 & 45; Hebrews 12, Joseph

We all have baggage we carry on the journey and we all need to lighten the load. There is a lot of stuff that "we STUFF" in our bags (lives) and the load is too much to carry. Eventually, the weight starts to effect the people around us. The baggage in our lives not only hurts and hinders us but anyone who gets too close to us. The most shocking part of our baggage is how normalized we become to it. We see our baggage as a necessary part of our lives that we are just meant to carry.

Hebrews 12:1-2 says, "...let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith..."
