Flooded with fake news, false information, and confusing news cycles, we need guidance to find a path through the confusion.   After writing the Gospel of John, false teaching about Jesus began to arise. In 1 John, John writes a letter that is all about the contrasting effects of light and darkness, enlightening the church as to who Jesus really was and how to identify authentic Christians.
